STUBS FOR ELECTRICAL & GAS
Location of gas and electrical stubs should be at least 6” off side of Grill and 6” off back wall of BBQ Island. Under existing side burner is ok. Access holes can be made through Island wall and will be done at Job site, at customer’s request. Stubs should be no more than 6”high (out of ground). Only one gas and electrical location is required as all island electrical is prewired into one location and all island gas lines are run to one location, by Pro Tech, for our customer’s convenience.
A Minimum of a ½” gas line is required. Gas line sizes will vary based on length of run and total amount of BTU’s your unit will draw. Check with local codes and your licensed contractor for proper sizing. * Undersized gas line may affect performance of the BBQ or components and is not covered under warranty *
A gas shut off valve with a 3/8 inch flared, male end connection is required and must be provided by the customer for connection to the BBQ Island. All gas lines on the BBQ Island are pre plumbed. Pro Tech does not run the gas line or fittings from the home to the BBQ Island, but will make the connection provided the proper fittings are in place to do so.
All gas lines on the BBQ Island are pre plumbed. The Pro Tech Representative will hook up propane tank and test all gas components. Pro Tech does not supply the propane tank. Propane tank stores under grill.
